Cybati - Blackbox Challenge #1 - Step 4

This post is blog post 4 of 15 of the Cybati Blackbox #1 challenge.

Step 4:

Instruction: Initialize VirtuaPlant. Enable the VirtuaPlant bottling process and HMI. Review the HMI and visual bottling process.

1. Click on “Click to Launch” to go back to the file directory window
   
   
2. Double click on “4. Initialize VirtuaPlant (WIZARD)” to begin working with the VirtuaPlant simulation
   
   
3. While the VirtuaPlant simulation loads, an informational popup box may show up. The VirtuaPlant windows may cover the informational window, but this will be ok. Once the VirtuaPlant is up, click on the “Information” window at the bottom of the screen.
4. You should see the following information in the “Information” popup box
   
   
5. Click “Ok” after you read the information above
6. Now you should see a window on the left with a graphical representation to a simulated bottling process. The window on the right should be the process controls (HMI - Human Machine Interface) to the simulated bottling process.
   
7. If you have a situation similar to the above screenshot, we can see that a “container” appears to be on it’s side. If this simulation were to continue, the process would not run as the engineer intended. It appears that the conveyor belt continues to slightly push the containers even if you do not click “Run”. Eventually if you do not click “Run” after the simulator starts, the containers could be knocked over. Close both windows. Double click on “4. Initialize VirtuaPlant (WIZARD)” to set up the simulated bottling process again.
8. An expected bottling scenario should be in line with the screenshot below
   
   
9. Click “Run” to begin the simulation if the “Process Status” is not already “Running”
   
   
10. Click “Stop” in the HMI window and close both the “World View” and HMI windows.
